Here in the UK, we don’t celebrate Thanksgiving. I don’t want to get into the politics of Thanksgiving here.
I find the practice of giving thanks is one that enhances any day. Both for myself and others.
A sincere thanks could go further than I ever imagined. It could be the difference that day for someone in need of connection.
It has gone a long way for me when I have been on the receiving end of such thanks and had a longing to know that what I was doing made a difference.
Lately I have been practicing switching my mind to a small internal note of thanks for something whenever I feel myself getting off track or being negative.
My list of thanks today includes:
- Family
- Friends
- Health
- Food
- Shelter
- Creativity
- Peace
I noticed that G+ is full of people sharing what they are thankful today.
Shall we add to the conversation?
I would love to hear what you are thankful for here.
