I recently bought a new camera.
I bought it primarily for shooting video for Studio Scratches.
I used to shoot and develop black and white photos on a GCSE photography course at college. I loved it. I wanted to give up my A levels to pursue it full time. I didn’t. I took the ‘sensible’ choice and stuck out the A Levels. No regrets though, everything works out!
Back to the present. The camera opened up a whole new world. I saw things differently. I noticed angles and perspectives that are normally unnoticed by me.
I felt excited and alive.
I started to remember apertures and depth of field. I experienced beginners mind.
It was magic.
