Writing Honestly

November 10, 2011 By Emma

Writing everyday is easier when I write honestly.

By this I simply mean that I am honestly sharing things I have actually experienced. I write from experience.

I am not tailoring or trying to appeal to a mass number of readers. If what I say resonates, then that person will stick around. I will find kindred spirits and connect with people who value what I am saying, who find that it helps them in some way.

This frees me from outside validation or judgements.

We all get judged by others most likely 100s of times each day, so I don’t want to judge myself on top of that list.

The only person I need to be then, is myself.

I never believe my own hype, so why would anyone else?

Be real. Be true.
